“Before I started with the Twisting Duck’s I was lonely. They have changed my life. We all work together as a team. I am now supporting people on our academies, helping younger people on their journey, to become actors, dancers and singers.”
“Being part of The Twisting Duck’s Theatre Company, has made me realise I am not alone. There are so many other people like me. Actors, singers, filmmakers, and dancers who won’t let limitations hold them back from realising their dreams”
“When I first joined the Twisting Ducks I was scared to talk to the audiences and wouldn’t take on many lines. Being a member of the Twisting Duck’s has given me confidence and now they can’t get me off the stage!”
“Since been in the Twisting Ducks I have gone from strength to strength. I feel like I’m part of a big family here at the Twisting Ducks. We all support each other to achieve our goals. I feel connected, both to members of the company, other organisations and charities, and to the wider community of artists with learning disabilities and autism.”
“I feel privileged to be in the Twisting Ducks. I have made so many friends and we work as a strong team to make theatre, films, music, and to devise workshops. When I see the audiences reactions, once we have performed, it takes my breath away and I feel so proud to be able to provide a voice around the issues affecting people with learning disabilities and autism.
“When I hear the audience roar and cheer, it makes my day. Without the audiences supporting us, there would be no Twisting Duck’s. Performing our plays has a profound impact both on our audiences and on ourselves.”
"Since joining Twisting Ducks I have met some really nice people and made some lovely friends. My confidence has grown loads! I love coming to the group and enjoy learning my scripts and being involved in performances."
“Since joining The Twisting Duck’s Theatre Company, my confidence has soared. I have learned new skills and I am not only an actor, I am also a facilitator. I feel the workshops we deliver have a huge impact and promote positive change in the world.”
