The Twisting Ducks Employability Project

What is it?

A friendly, creative support programme to help with:

-       Confidence building

-       Training and volunteering

-       skills for work 

-       trying out work 

-       going for work when you feel ready for it 

Who is it for?

-       people aged 18 and over who have a learning disability or autism who are not in work 

-       you must live in one of the Newcastle areas on the map – the places inside the red line. If you’re not sure, get in touch and we can check your  

        postcode

How will it work?

A mix of one-to-one and group sessions

- Advice from people with learning disabilities and autism already in paid work – get to hear their stories.

- Drama sessions that build confidence and help you try out problem-solving

- Support to try out volunteering and work with The Twisting Ducks 

- Support to do work placements

- Help to apply for training, college courses, or jobs

When does it start?

We are taking on people now but you can join later as well
