Mission, vision and objectives

VISION

A society that values the diversity, creativity and citizenship of people with learning disabilities and autistic people.

MISSION

Through the arts we will tackle inequalities and improve wellbeing by increasing opportunities for people with learning disabilities and autistic people to have their voices heard and to contribute to their community.

OBJECTIVES

Creating inclusive opportunities for people to come together and create

- We will support people to develop their artistic skills and talent, and to collaborate with communities and cultural partners.

- We will use a range of accessible approaches to ensure everyone can take part.

- We will deliver outreach work to involve those who are excluded or disadvantaged.

- We will create opportunities for people to lead as artists and practitioners, and to work and volunteer with us.

Increasing representation and widening audiences

-We will work with the mainstream cultural sector and community partners to:

- improve inclusion for artists with learning disabilities and autistic artists.

- ensure the uniqueness and social relevance of the art produced by people with learning disabilities and autistic people reaches a wider audience.

Raising awareness

-We will use issue–based theatre and art forms to educate and inform, to help people speak up, to provoke thought, and to stimulate change.

-We will engage proactively with communities, services and decision makers to ensure people’s voices are heard.
