Work History

I have 35 years experience working in health and social care. I trained as a Registered General Nurse and Registered Mental Nurse before moving into management and leadership roles.  Before I retired from paid work in 2015 I was CEO of an organisation providing support to people with a learning disability living in their own homes but we provided a music project and a Saturday club for children with a learning disability.

Personal Statement

I have been a Trustee of Twisting Ducks since 2016 and Chair since 2017. My role is to chair meetings of the board of trustees, lead the development of the board and to ensure that Twisting Ducks is properly managed and decisions made are acted on. I am passionate about equality of opportunity for people with a learning disability to have equality of opportunity as active citizens. The Twisting Ducks is a fantastic way to support people to have a voice using the arts.

I’m married with grown up children and a beagle owner.  I enjoy walking, travel and exploring, cooking and I’m a slow runner (when I’m not injured!)
